Apex Shed Plans
Classic peaked roof - maximum headroom, traditional look.
An apex shed has a symmetrical pitched roof with the ridge running front-to-back. The peak gives plenty of headroom in the centre, making apex sheds the best choice if you want to stand up comfortably or store taller items.

Apex Shed FAQs
An apex shed has a peaked roof with two equal slopes meeting at a central ridge. The door is usually on one of the long sides and the gable ends face left and right.
A typical 8x6 apex shed has around 1.9m at the eaves and over 2.2m at the ridge, giving generous headroom along the centre line.
Slightly. Apex sheds need rafters cut to a matching angle and a ridge board, but the construction is still well within the reach of a competent DIY builder following clear plans.
