A pent shed has a single sloping roof, usually pitched so that rainwater runs off the back. Pent sheds suit modern gardens, fit neatly against a fence or wall, and are the easiest of the three roof styles to build.

Yes. A pent roof is a single flat plane, so there is no ridge to cut and fewer rafter angles to work out. Most DIY builders find a pent shed the quickest of the common roof styles to frame.

A typical pent shed has around 2.0m at the front wall and 1.8m at the back wall, giving comfortable headroom near the door and slightly less at the rear of the shed.
